We're committed…

To a clean, safe and biologically diverse environment for future generations. One of the ways we're accomplishing this is through our activities at SaskPower Shand Greenhouse.

The waste heat generated by the adjacent Shand Power Station is used in the greenhouse to produce hundreds of thousands of tree seedlings each year. Since 1991, we've distributed over six million seedlings.

Seedlings are distributed free of charge to Saskatchewan not-for-profit agencies, service clubs, conservation agencies and individual landowners. The number one requirement is a shared commitment to preserve and enhance Saskatchewan's natural landscape.
